ACBuy Order Notebook is a working desk for shopping-agent buyers. We order and test the products we cover, then document order checkpoints, purchasing terminology, agent timing and packaging results in plain English.
About
Who we are
ACBuy Order Notebook is a small editorial desk based in Rotterdam, Netherlands, founded in 2021. We cover one narrow subject well: the order checkpoints and purchasing vocabulary that shopping-agent buyers meet between paying for an item and opening the parcel. Our readers are people planning a haul who want to know what "seller shipped", "warehouse received", "quality check passed" and "parcel dispatched" actually mean in practice, and how many days each one tends to take.
The desk is three editors: Nadia Oostrum, our editor in chief; Pieter Vandeput, who runs reviews; and Marlijn Kessels, who runs research. Between us we have spent a combined twenty-eight years buying from agents, spreadsheets and remote warehouses, and we have made most of the mistakes worth documenting. We are a publisher, not an agent: we do not sell products, we do not take parcels on consignment, and we do not run an ordering service.
How the desk works
We order and test the products we feature. Each item is bought through the agent under review, paid for by the desk, and tracked from payment to delivery with timestamps written into a shared log. We open parcels on camera, weigh them on a postal scale, measure garments flat and check them against the listed size chart, then wear or use the item for four weeks before the hands-on score is finalised. Our testing team keeps every parcel box and packing slip in labelled archive storage so a retest can be compared against the original delivery.
Scores use a five-point scale, written as X / 5, where 5 is excellent and 1 is very poor. Hands-on product scores run from 4.0 to 5.0. We publish the concrete steps behind each score: the fit check, the packaging note, the agent timing table and the comparison against similar items in the same category.
What we publish
Three kinds of pages: checkpoint explainers that define purchasing terminology stage by stage, agent workflow notes with measured timings, and hands-on product reviews with fit, packaging and durability notes. Every page lists its sources in a dedicated field, and every review carries a summary rather than repeating itself in the body.
We are not a neutral third party and we do not describe ourselves as one. We are a working desk with a point of view shaped by our own parcels. Corrections are published, dated and linked, and our full policies are on their own pages.
