Nadia Oostrum

Editor in Chief

Biographie

Nadia Oostrum is the editor in chief of ACBuy Order Notebook, which she co-founded in Rotterdam in 2021 after a decade of buying from agents for a small resale business. She spent six years as a copy editor and then desk lead at a Dutch logistics trade title, where she learned to read a tracking status the way other people read a weather forecast. At the Notebook she owns the checkpoint glossary, signs off every hands-on score, and runs the correction log. She is the person who insists that a timing table is worthless unless it says which month it was measured in.

Expertise

Shopping-agent order lifecycles, checkpoint terminology standards, editorial sign-off and corrections handling

Comment je teste

Nadia reads every parcel log before an article is approved and checks that each checkpoint claim maps to a timestamp we recorded ourselves. She compares the article's terminology against the agent's current interface wording, rejects any ten-point figure that has not been converted to five points, and verifies that hands-on scores fall between 4.0 and 5.0. She also runs the second read on corrections and dates every changed sentence.

Pieter Vandeput

Pieter Vandeput

Reviews Editor

Biographie

Pieter Vandeput runs reviews at ACBuy Order Notebook. He came to the desk from a Belgian menswear importer, where he spent five years checking incoming samples against size charts and writing the rejection notes nobody wanted to read. He joined the Notebook in 2022 and now owns the parcel bench: the scale, the tape measure, the rolling rail and the camera. He has opened more than four hundred agent parcels on this desk and can usually tell from the outer bag whether the inner packing was done at consolidation or at the seller. He writes the fit notes and the timing tables, and he keeps the archive boxes in order.

Expertise

Hands-on product testing, garment measurement, packaging assessment and agent timing tables

Comment je teste

Pieter orders every featured item at list price through the agent under review, logs each checkpoint with a timestamp, and opens the parcel on camera. He weighs the parcel, measures garments flat at five points, compares them with the listed chart and a control item, then wears or uses the product for four weeks before finalising the score. He records washing behaviour, seams, hardware and zip performance, and he repeats the whole cycle on every six-month retest.

Marlijn Kessels

Marlijn Kessels

Research Editor

Biographie

Marlijn Kessels is the research editor at ACBuy Order Notebook, responsible for the checkpoint glossary and for making sure every term we define matches what buyers actually see on screen. She trained as a translator, working in Dutch, English and German, and spent four years localising e-commerce and shipping interfaces before joining the desk in 2022. That background is why she treats 'warehouse received' and 'warehouse stored' as two different claims rather than one. She maintains the source lists, translates non-English interface text into English, and keeps product codes and order identifiers untouched. She also runs the quarterly re-walk of every explainer.

Expertise

Purchasing terminology, interface wording comparison, source verification and glossary maintenance

Comment je teste

Marlijn captures the agent's own interface wording, compares it against our recorded order screens, and checks how the same stage is labelled by other agents before writing a definition. She keeps a source list for each page, separates what the interface says from what our timestamps showed, and flags any label that changed since the last quarterly re-walk. She never carries non-English prose into an article: she translates it and preserves the identifiers exactly.
