Our editorial desk writes about shopping-agent purchasing: order checkpoints, purchasing terminology, agent timing and hands-on product quality. The following rules apply to every page we publish.
Who writes and who approves
Every article carries a named editor. Product reviews are drafted by Pieter Vandeput and signed off by Nadia Oostrum. Terminology and checkpoint explainers are drafted by Marlijn Kessels and also signed off by the editor in chief. No page goes live without a second editor reading it against the parcel log.
What we will and will not claim
We order and test the products we feature. We do not describe ourselves as independent, unaffiliated, outside or neutral, and we do not publish statements about being an auditor. We do not write product pages from catalogue images, and we do not publish a hands-on score for a product we have not handled; hands-on scores run from 4.0 to 5.0 on a five-point scale.
Sourcing and quotes
Terminology definitions are checked against the agent's own interface text and against our recorded order screens, not against secondhand summaries. Where an agent uses a label differently from the rest of the market, we say so and show the screenshot description in plain text. We do not copy non-English interface prose into articles; we translate it into English and keep identifiers, order numbers and product codes exactly as they appear.
Commercial arrangements
Some outbound links are affiliate links. They never determine whether an item is covered, what score it receives, or where it sits in a comparison table. Our affiliate disclosure is kept factual and separate from this policy.
Updates
Checkpoint pages are re-walked quarterly. Product reviews are retested twice a year. A changed score is announced in the article with the date and the reason. Substantive rewrites are logged in the page's revision history rather than silently substituted.
